Odd Observations

So I was reading comic news on www.Newsarama.com when I came upon an article on which had the upcoming Spider-man cover for the CivilWar Crossover...boy was I shocked by the cover design Marvel has going on....looks kind of familiar to me :)..... Funny how Marvels cover design came out almost two months after we first showed ours...Not saying they copied but hey I guess greatness is meant to be copied heh.

Interesting, too, how the template was designed by Bill Tortolini, who was the victim of another strange coincidence a few years back...

See, Bill created this sci-fi/western styled book called MARSHAL about a space colony called Tranquility way back in the mid-90s. But just a few years ago, after Bill had announced Marshal, a sci-fi show called FIREFLY came on with its followup film, SERENITY.

No one's accusing Joss Whedon of copying or anything, of course -- the two stories are quite different and distinct. But it is ironic that twice now, Bill's work has been replicated by other individuals not long after he's put it up online...

Discuss!

You see Sean, I am a constant victim od plaugerism... Not to mention Simon Bowland, our great letterist from the UK, has someone in the industry who copies his stlye to the SFX! Right down to the colors and strokes!!

Ah well, immitation is flattery I guess. Once MI:3 comes out, I'll tell the world how JJ Abrahams stole my ideas as well...
